At Built By Legends, our focus is on the Skyline GT-R platform for our MINE'S builds, but we just can not ignore the MINE'S R35. The reason is simply because of this video ”Paul Walker Visits Famous Nissan Skyline GT-R Tuner Mine's in Japan" that we shot, directed and published when Built By Legends CEO Masa and Co-Founder Katsu were still a part of GTChannel.

In August 2009, after we picked up the late Paul Walker and crew at a hotel in Tokyo, we drove the group to our destination, which was MINE'S HQ in Yokosuka. Paul was obviously keen on the MINE'S R34 Demo Car, but since the car is not registered to drive on the streets, Paul went on a drive with Tarzan Yamada who was there to take Paul on a ride along in the MINE'S R35 Demo Car. The rest is history, as many of you are aware, when the MINE'S R35 came back, Paul was behind the steering wheel with a big smile on his face!

The MINE'S R35 has gone through many updates along the years, and this model features the lastest updates that were installed in 2021. This "Limited Edition" model produced by Make Up under official license from Nissan Motor Company, is based on 3D data from an actual R35 GT-R, combined with 3D scanned data of the actual MINE’S R35 Demo Car. Inheriting the MINE’S exterior aesthetics, the model looks almost stock at first glance. However, the front diffuser, canards, bonnet, aero mirrors, roof, side skirts, rear trunk, and rear wing are all MINE'S carbon parts, which has all been replicated on this 1/18 scale model. Even the dry carbon fiber patterns have been replicated with a clear coat finish. The RAYS VOLK G025 wheels are made from white metal casting parts, and painted with high brightness paint to give it an authentic metal look. Same goes for the Titanium exhaust which is the highlight of the beautiful rear view. The model comes with the acrylic platform and clear casing as seen in the product pictures, ready to be displayed out-of-the-box, which is one of the great things about the Make Up Modelcars.
