Streets of Willow Record Setter

For BBL, this car is more than just a legendary GT-R. As part of the production crew behind Best Motoring and Hot Version International, we have a deep personal connection to the car and the story behind it.

In 2006, we sent this very MINE’S R34 GT-R to the United States, cleared it through customs, and stored it at our company garage in Southern California, where it was prepared for filming. The resulting episode was released as “Keiichi Tsuchiya and the MINE’S GT-R Teams Up for the Course Record in the USA!!”

At Willow Springs International Raceway, Keiichi Tsuchiya pushed the MINE’S R34 GT-R to a 1:21.22 lap at the Streets of Willow, setting a new course record and cutting more than four seconds from the previous record at the time.

Now, that moment has been immortalized in 1/43 scale.

Officially licensed by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and produced by Make Up, this Limited Edition model combines 3D data from an actual BNR34 GT-R with 3D-scanned data from the fully restored MINE’S R34 Demo Car.

At first glance, its MINE’S exterior retains the understated, almost stock appearance of the R34. Look closer, however, and the details reveal the car that set the record: the front diffuser, canards, aero mirrors, rear wing, 30 mm taller-than-stock rear wing stays, and trunk spoiler are all faithfully reproduced.

The level of detail continues throughout. The model features the BBS LM wheels with Bridgestone POTENZA stencil logos, the GTChannel logo, Best Motoring International logo, and even the rare red Sparco steering wheel fitted specifically for this shoot. The red wheel is a particularly unique detail, as the MINE’S Demo Car back then normally ran a blue Sparco steering wheel.

Finished with an acrylic display platform, clear protective case, and an individually numbered plaque, the model is ready to display straight out of the box.
